Gunshots just ripped to the front door as officers approached the home. Inside is 48-year-old Jose Manuel, a father, barricaded with a gun. And moments earlier, his own child called 911, saying he shot his mother. Police don't know if she's still alive. And every time they get close, he fires again. Now SWAT surrounds the house, trying to make contact with the man who just turned his own home into a war zone.

But as officers fight to take control, they are left trying to figure out one thing. What could have made a father do this? It's Saturday, August 24th, 2024, in St. Cloud, Florida, at 2760 Notel Drive. And the first sign that something is seriously wrong comes from an alarming 911 call.

Just minutes earlier, Jose Manuel rampaged inside his home, shooting his wife, Liz Vent Figueroa, multiple times in front of their family. The reason why wasn't immediately clear, but what was clear was the panic it caused. Both of their children fled the house, running to a neighbor's home, not knowing if their mother was alive or why their father had done this. Now, with Jose Manuel still inside, armed and dangerous, officers raced to the scene, attempting to make contact and fully ready for a shootout.

While the first units on scene secure the rear of the house, making sure no civilians are caught in the crossfire. Officers can now shift their full attention to the front, preparing a specialized team to advance forward. However, they would soon retreat back.

When initial attempts to enter the home fail, officers shift strategies. They deploy a drone, allowing them to survey the interior and try to locate the victim. Inside, Jose Manuel knows every corner of the house, giving him a clear advantage over anyone trying to enter. So officers go ahead with flying in the drone. However, Jose Manuel would already be ahead of them.

Still with no progress, and with Liz Ved Figueroa still inside, her condition unknown, officers are forced to rethink their strategy yet again. They begin calling in additional units, including canine, to help develop a plan that could finally reach Jose Manuel. But before that plan can even take shape, on the other side of the scene, the next door neighbors, along with the children, are spotted running for their lives.

With the children now out and safe, officers begin trying to understand what led to this. What caused Jose Manuel to shoot his own wife? At the same time, their priority remains the same. Take him into custody and uncover the motive behind it. However, back at the oversight of the scene, the canine unit arrives, and officers try a new approach with the canine, hoping this would be the last attempt.

After taking multiple shots from inside the home, officers recognize just how dangerous Jose Manuel is. The canine handler makes the call. It's too risky to deploy the dog. Inside, Jose Manuel has the advantage and wouldn't hesitate to shoot it. With that, officers have the house surrounded from front to back, but Jose Manuel still remains inside with his wife. They've tried making entry, flying in drones, and deploying canine units, but nothing has worked. And that's when officers begin to realize their only way to get to him might be by speaking to his children.

Now that officers have a better understanding of the situation, they begin to approach it in a completely different way. Using a phone number provided by the children, they prepare to make contact with Jose Manuel. But before they do, they need a clearer picture of what actually happened inside. So officers turn to the children, beginning to question them to find out why this all happened. Sorry to interrupt the story. As officers gather more information, their next move is clear. They need to call him and start negotiating, trying to get him to surrender. Yet they have a slight inconvenience, and that would be a language barrier, as Jose Manuel spoke no English.

However, what he doesn't know is that his children are already with officers and have confirmed that no one else is inside, giving officers the upper hand, knowing that Jose Manuel is lying to them.

While officers try to speak with him on the phone, attempting to get him to come out. The neighbor who is close friends with Lizvet Ficaroa begins to realize that officers need to get inside fast before it's too late, adding even more pressure to the situation officers were already facing.

However, just as the situation begins to look worse, Jose Manuel steps out of the house, and within seconds, officers move in, taking him into custody.

With no time to spare, officers rush Jose Manuel to the station, preparing him for questioning. However, back at the scene, officers carry out a full sweep of the property, not finding anything, until they reach the upstairs bathroom. That's where they find Lisvet Figueroa. She had suffered multiple gunshot wounds, and by the time officers reached her, she was unconscious and not breathing. As of now, officers knew the condition of the mother. However, one thing still wasn't clear. What had pushed Jose Manuel to commit such an act? Back at the station, officers wouldn't bother questioning Jose due to the language barrier. Instead, they would proceed with gathering all the evidence. begins to piece together the puzzle, revealing why her father did what he did.

Oh they'll do whatever you know stairs whatever with this thing um up today she was downstairs um she has she had a trip tomorrow to go to California for work so I had to do her nails my face one of her nails we were talking and she was telling me about fighting and why he was fighting that he was accusing her cheating like always with some boss that she had a long time ago with they were just good friends that was you know my mom didn't wasn't really doing anything with that man nothing but he he's like narcissist um narcissistic so he would pick up fights before any major event like early tomorrow of course is fighting with her so I already called it I went to my nail room to do my nails I was in the middle of doing my nails and I heard her screaming she was screaming calling my name and telling him to stop um that's when I heard the gunshot and I thought that it was a fake gun to not the shoot I thought that he was trying to scare her until I walked into the bathroom after we shot her multiple times he shot her as he was looking at me.

Oh when we were talking in the knowing he told me um she told me yet that yesterday he told her that the only reason why he hasn't killed her yet is he doesn't my brother okay when was this when did that was yesterday they had gone to Desert she said and that they were drinking you know yada yada and then that's when he started with his moods like always and then that's when he started accusing her cheating. And so that's when the fight originated from and he said that to her.

I started screaming at him that's what the why the fuck did he say anything to you to make a he started screaming at me telling me that he was cheating on her with that guy that she was telling me about it. That she was cheating on him or he was that she was cheating on him and uh yeah he was saying he was Spanish he was saying that she's she's putting point on me or uh cheating on me. I was like at that point I didn't say nothing back and I'm like what the fuck like what?

I was just it would later be confirmed that when Jose Manuel spoke to officers, he would say the same thing as his daughter. The daughter explained that her father was insecure and controlling, believing his wife had been cheating on him while she was traveling for work and because of that he acted out of rage making sure she paid the price for it Jose Manuel was then charged with first degree premeditated murder for killing his wife and attempted murder of a law enforcement officer for shooting at officers during the standoff once again we have a Patreon with uncensored and raw footage link in the description
